BG 016

14" x 19-1/2" 1966

This early Wes Wilson beauty is printed on uncoated stock, typical of some of the early Fillmore posters. It looks more like a silkscreen than a litho, but it's a litho piece. Wes is still playing around the edges here, waiting for his style to solidify. When it does, it really takes off.

In the complements of purple and yellow, this is a striking piece of work, which was prominently displayed on the main staircase of the Funky Features house.

Staple holes in the corners, otherwise perfect (I still don't know how, with all the shenanigans that went on in THAT place!).
