BG Beard

14" x 20" 1966

Bill Graham's first love was theatre and theatrical productions. Michael McClure was a so-called "hip" poet who lived up the street from us, a sort of throwback to the beatnik era coffee house scene where groovy, farout poetry was hip, man.

This type of rare event was more for the psuedo-intellectual hipper-than-hip and cooler-than-cool crowd...certainly not for us bikers and rock 'n rollers who liked to kick out the jams and make NOISE!

The Beard made the rounds, and Michael McClure was a sort of guru to many who were searching for something "more," whatever-the-hell that meant.

But this ultra hip and very cool poster is in perfect condition, just waiting to decorate your pad!

Come and get 'em while they're hot! (or cool).
