The beautiful,
sensuous work of turn-of-the-century Alphonse Mucha, who I think
was a Czech artist of immense talent and ability, and who lived
and worked in Paris was very popular with the hippies. They rediscovered
him, if you will, and reproductions of his gorgeous work were
springing up everywhere.
Though the
girl has a real Lautrec feel about her, she is a direct ripoff
of one of Mucha's famous female images, an original advertisement
for JOB cigarette rolling papers. Stanley rendered her in flat,
bright colors...in good ol' psychedelic fashion.
This is a poor
reproduction of a beautiful poster in perfect condition.
